Jeff Berg, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Berg delivers decades of financial and operational excellence to the Dunbar organization. Born and raised in Baltimore County, Jeff excelled in the classroom while attending Calvert Hall College. Jeff’s educational journey continued with an Accounting Degree from Loyola University in Baltimore, MD. Professionally, Jeff accumulated several years of experience at a Big Four accounting firm. Throughout his time in those roles, he honed his auditing and cost control skill set.  In 2008, Jeff assumed the helm as the National Director of Auditing at Dunbar Armored. Jeff instituted a variety of effective policies which reduced the financial liability of DA. Given his successful tenure as National Director of Auditing, in January of 2016, Jeff was given the opportunity to transition into the role of Vice President of Finance for Dunbar Security Solutions, Inc. Jeff is a father of two young men, has been married to his wife Jo-Ann for 20 years, and is a lifelong resident of Baltimore County.


Andrew Maggio

Chief Operating Officer

In 1997, Andrew entered the Security Industry as a Security Guard for his family’s contract security agency in central MD. From that starting point to today, his focus has been executing quality security services that enhance customer satisfaction. Throughout his time in the industry, Andrew has been seated on both sides of the table for multiple corporate acquisitions, large scale RFP implementations, as well as being at the forefront of developing operational efficiencies both in the field and office. Andrew firmly believes that, “Our goal at Dunbar is to provide our customers with effective quality solutions. Our tenured operational and business development teams work in unison to deliver a true boutique offering of Personnel and Physical Security Solutions.” In addition to his decades of industry experience, Maggio also holds a B.S. in Political Science from East Carolina University. Andrew has served in his current role since January of 2016. On the home-front, Andrew is a proud husband to Heather, father of three, and brother to two members of the US Special Forces.


Christal Clore MBA, PHR

Director of Human Resources

Christal Clore is a veteran Human Resource expert, with over 25 years of progressive experience. Her passion is providing HR solutions for our organization by helping build an HR infrastructure through technology, compliance, and people. She has extensive experience in prior roles within the Hospitality and Constructions sectors. Christal holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and an MBA from the University of Maryland, University College. She is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Christal has been with Dunbar Security Solutions since late 2018.


Samuel A. Aldridge

Director of Sales

Sam is currently our Director of Sales & Business Development. In this position, he is responsible for the sales management and strategic growth of the Security Solutions division. A respected leader and highly experienced sales professional dedicated and skilled at developing lasting customer relationships, Sam’s primary focus is business development, new product development, customer relationship building and aiding his team of sales professionals. Prior to joining Dunbar, Sam had over 20 years of sales and account management experience with Travel Click, Enterprise Car Rental, and American Airlines. Sam is currently a member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS International). He also maintains certifications in Electronics Security products and design. Sam holds a B.S. in Aerospace Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.


Douglas L. Bear

Director of Operations, Security Systems

Doug Bear is the Director of Operations Security Systems at Dunbar Security Solutions. A seasoned veteran manager in the security industry, Doug has served in a variety of management positions since joining Dunbar in 1992 including: Compliance Officer with Dunbar Armored and Central Station Manager, General Manager, and Vice President of Sales & Operations with Dunbar Security Systems. Doug is a member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS International), the Central Station Association, and the National Fire Protection Association.  He holds certifications from the Virginia State Department of Criminal Justice, the Security Industry Association, and Tyco for American Dynamics security products. Doug, utilizing his experience and extensive industry connections, leads our Central Station team and provides technical support for our Sales Team.


Russell Beard

Director of Service & Installation, Security Systems

Russ Beard is the Director of Service & Installation at Dunbar Security Solutions, based at the company’s Security Operations Center in Hunt Valley, Maryland. A tenured manager in the security industry, Russ owned and operated his own IT Installation Firm, Chain Communications, LLC, from 2003 to 2014 and was Senior Technician for Dunbar Security Systems from 2014 to 2016, then was promoted to Director of Service & Installation in June of 2016. In addition to his time designing, installing, and managing high-quality installation projects for Dunbar Security, Russ provided four years of exemplary service to the US Marine Corps from 1982-1985.


Richard Sullivan

Branch Manager, Protective Services

An accomplished security professional with experience in physical security, loss prevention, and fire and life safety, Richard Sullivan has 12 years of security management experience, 5 of those years in the hospitality industry. Mr. Sullivan was the Assistant Director of Loss Prevention at Marriott International Headquarters, where he co-chaired the Safety Committee and their Floor Captains Emergency Response Team. Richard then went on to be the Director of Loss Prevention for Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, VA. Mr. Sullivan currently oversees the protective service operations of Dunbar Security Solutions, including, but not limited to, staff development, disciplinary action, customer service, and administrative and quality control. He also completes and maintains all the necessary security licenses and certifications required by the states. Richard started with Dunbar in October of 2016.


Julie Schmidt

Corporate Recruiter

Julie has been with Dunbar Security Solutions since March 2017. Her initial assignment within our team was the Branch Administrator for Protective Services. To further her path within the HR Department, in June 2019, she was appointed the role of Corporate Recruiter. Julie would best describe what she does for Dunbar as, “Matching quality security professionals with positions that will further enhance their security career path.” Her primary joy in recruiting, so far, has been watching her recruits rise through the ranks which leads to peace of mind and stability for our customers.
